In April 2011, the United States FDA approved abiraterone acetate(CB7630) in combination with the steroid prednisone for the treatmentof metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) for patientswho were previously treated with a docetaxel containing regimen forlate-stage disease.
